The Woden Valley Community Council request to the Minister for Planning (Mr Simon Corbell), as a matter of urgency, to exercise his call-in power under S159 (2) of the Planning and Development Act (2007) to refuse the above development application which, if approved, will have the effect of allowing the Canberra Southern Cross Club to redevelop the current site of the Pitch and Putt Golf Course for its own commercial purposes.

This is appalling, it is one of the best P&P in AUstralia, it has International standing, it is located in a Town Centre and therefore easily accessible by bus being on a bus hub, it is used a lot by retirees who can no longer cope with a full length golf course. Pete's Golf Connection P&P is difficult to get to unless you have a car. Town Centres should keep recreational facilities like this. The decision to close the bowling club was appalling.
