I am very saddened to hear of the possible closure of the Woden pitch and putt course. We have enjoyed many games on this beautiful course, which is a regular activity for our family (it's particularly good for young children) and wonderful venue to take overseas visitors who want to experience 'golf in Australia' but find a full size course a bit daunting. Please don't rezone this area, we don't need more retail businesses or another car park.
John [Visitor] in response to: Review into the size of the ACT Legislative Assembly

Any increase in the size of the assembly should be "public sector budget neutral" so that any resultant increase in the cost of servicing the enlarged assembly is offset by a corresponding reduction in the overall ACT public service budget.

Better still, get rid of the Assembly and replace it with the city council model recently proposed by Harry Evans.

The Woden Town Centre precinct is presently very poorly served with public open space. The diminutive Woden Town Park is a joke and Eddison Park is little more than an appendage to the Woden Cemetery.

The pitch and putt site should be resumed by the ACT Government and retained as a public park.
A great piece of land to develop. There is a pitch and put at Narrabunda that is totally under utilised. The whole of Canberra want a revitalized Phillip. This is just a part of a greater plan. Canberra already has 43.6% more recreational land than any city in Aust, and that figure is rising.

Michael, just to let you know that there are many families living happily in apartments all over the world. I think we have got too precious expecting personal fenced off open space for every family.

It's almost as if you are saying families are not' allowed or not welcome to live in apartments.

If we want a vibrant and safe street life we need to have people out there practising a sense of community.
